What We Do

Empowering educators across the Golden State, the California Collaborative for Inclusive Practices (CCIP) offers comprehensive statewide training through in-person, virtual, and hybrid sessions. Designed for teachers, coaches, support staff, and administrators in both general and special education, CCIP fosters collective efficacy within every educational organization. Our mission is to advance inclusive practices for students with disabilities at local, regional, and statewide levels.

Levels of Support for Inclusive Education in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE)

Universal Support

At the foundation of our universal support system is a commitment to inclusive practices for all students. Professional Learning opportunities are available via communities of practices, and a variety of professional learning formats (virtual, in-person, and recorded sessions). We also offer asynchronous courses to support educators, administrators and paraprofessionals with learning at their own pace.  Our Inclusive Practices professional learning focuses on fostering a school culture where diversity is celebrated, and every learner is valued, welcomed and a part of the learning environment.

Targeted/Supplemental Support

For districts or county offices of education that need additional help with lesson design, and setting up inclusive classrooms or co-teaching teams and structures, we offer customized professional learning that embeds UDL and hands on learning strategies to support students with unique learning profiles.  Teachers, administrators, and paraprofessionals learn how to adapt instruction to meet the varying readiness levels, interests, and learning profiles of students. Our expert coaching staff provides hands-on support to educators, offering personalized guidance on applying these strategies in the classroom.

Intensive Support

Our highest level of support is designed for LEAs, schools or teams with the most significant challenges. Through targeted interventions and specialized coaching, we help educators implement effective, research-based strategies that address  students' unique needs. With ongoing professional development that includes improvement science and one-on-one coaching, teachers and administrators can confidently support every learner's academic, behavioral and social emotional learning needs successfully.
